Terms of service

Last updated: 25 August 2026

These terms cover your use of Alpha Harness, a desktop application published by FREEDOM LABS LTD, British Virgin Islands(“we”, “us”). By installing or using the software you agree to them.

1. What the software does

Alpha Harness runs on your own computer. It gives AI development tools a persistent memory and enforces rules you configure before those tools run commands.

Your files stay on your machine. We do not upload, read, or store the contents of your projects, notes, or vault. If you configure a cloud AI provider, requests go from your machine directly to that provider under their terms, not ours.

2. Your account

You sign in with an email address and a one-time code. You are responsible for keeping access to that mailbox. A subscription is tied to the email address it was bought with.

A seat is one person. Each seat may activate up to three devices. Seats are not for sharing between people; if more people need access, add seats.

3. Payment

Card and PayPal purchases are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd as Merchant of Record. Paddle is the seller of record on your receipt and handles sales tax and VAT worldwide, including in the EU and UK. Bank transfers are invoiced directly by FREEDOM LABS LTD.

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Refunds and cancellation are covered by our refund policy.

4. Licence

While your subscription is active we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the software for your own or your organisation's work. You may not resell it, redistribute it, or remove or circumvent its licensing checks.

5. What happens when a subscription ends

Paid features stop. Your data is not deleted. The app returns to the free tier and everything you created stays on your machine, readable and exportable. We will never remotely erase your work.

Access checks in with our server periodically. If it cannot reach us, the app keeps working for a grace period and then falls back to the free tier — it does not lock you out mid-flight, and it does not destroy anything.

6. Acceptable use

  • Do not use it to build or operate anything illegal.
  • Do not attempt to bypass licensing, seat limits, or device limits.
  • Do not resell access or share a seat between people.

We may suspend an account that does these things. Where we do, we will say why, and we will refund any unused paid period.

7. Early-stage software

We tell you plainly on the homepage that we are early. The software is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. It is a tool that helps you work, not a guarantee that a given result is correct — you remain responsible for reviewing what your AI tools do.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the software is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost data.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you we will email the address on your account at least 30 days beforehand. Continuing to use the software after that means you accept the change.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the British Virgin Islands. If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory protections of the law of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings there.
